WE HAVE TO TELL OUR BLUE REPS ABOUT PORN. THE PORN YOU GUYS. WE MOBILIZE TOMORROW AT 0900

Just name every piece of legislation "The Golden Ballroom Upgrade Sir" or some shit
Right now there's a 79 percent chance that Dem Congress can get Trump to sign anything they want if they tell him it will make people love him again.

They'll do all the bills, he can sign them and fuck off to redesigning DC.

You have to make sure it's a fake DC though, like his old fake Oval.

pervert legislation
Initiative 638 passed in Washington after all. Now girls in Washington have to undergo mandatory genital inspections in case one of them is trans in order to protect "fairness."

Transphobia is just misogyny and rape culture.

A YIMBY mayor in Los Angeles makes it MUCH easier to pass pro-housing legislation in Sacramento.
Hard to articulate how much of a political earthquake it is for Los Angeles to get a YIMBY mayor

@governor.pa.gov promising legislation to fund PA's transit agencies!
November 4, 2026 at 9:42 PM
Or pass major legislation on infrastructure.
November 5, 2026 at 12:24 PM
Sure, Trump can veto, but this is a mandate.

Let this sink in: With a House majority this large, Democrats wouldn’t need a SINGLE Republican vote to pass legislation in the House.

Not one!
November 5, 2026 at 2:22 PM
they're talking about the House and Lawrence O'Donnell just said "this means that any piece of Donald Trump legislation is dead. there will never be another piece of Donald Trump legislation" and that really made me Feel Some Stuff

Grateful that the Washington anti-trans thing is just ordinary legislation obviously, because that means we all get to enjoy seeing it swiftly struck down by the state courts, but!!

My god should "ordinary legislation by plebiscite" ever not be a thing
Stop letting people vote directly on legislation based on deceptively worded descriptions lmao stop offloading responsibility

Van Hollen is also saying they will pass legislation to benefit the American people and watch Trump veto it.

AND that they are going to get rid of the filibuster.

HOT DAMN.

Mamdani taught Democrats what to do when they win.

Not keep trying to make the right happy. Not pass watered down legislation to appeal to "everyone." Not give in to moneyed interests.

Do stuff that helps people. Quickly.

While people are understandably focused on the national level, the wave is going to reshape state legislatures, Governor's offices, AGs etc.
Not much legislation from DC in the next 2 years, but the action will be at the state level.

Maybe ALL GIRLS should BOYCOTT ALL GIRLS SPORTS until this heinous legislation is undone.

BREAKING: Democrats just BROKE the GOP’s supermajority in the Kansas House!

That means Republicans will no longer have unchecked power to pass anti-abortion, anti-equality legislation.

"Legislation improving people’s lives is central to Democrats making the case that they can govern, but oversight and investigations are ways to craft that legislation, to show how the Trump administration is failing, and to stop bad acts while Trump remains in office."
NEW: Six takeaways for the law from Tuesday’s blue tsunami election.

Deleted my post about _legislative_ priorities because people don't understand I was specifically only talking about legislation.

Investigate and subpoena them all. **Legislate on affordability.
November 4, 2026 at 3:21 PM
wow, it looks a lot like running half your platform on anti-trans legislation is a losing gambit
November 4, 2026 at 4:54 AM
Too long, Democratic politicians in Washington have had the mentality that there is no point to pass legislation that won't become law...

The old world is dead... pass legislation after legislation after legislation and force the president to say no to show how important 2028 will be

Brett Meiselas on how a Democratic congress could confront Trump:

If Trump wants to be "Mr. Veto," let him own it.

Pass legislation on healthcare, housing, education, and affordability, then put Trump in a position to veto it.

The best thing about having at least 54 senators is that we're not going to see John Fetterman on our TVs every day as he holds legislation hostage.

Batshit legislation
NEW: Starting tomorrow, anyone in the UK distributing or possessing this type of content, even if it’s just recorded in the privacy of their homes and not for sale on a porn site, could face up to five years in prison.
In the UK, Face Sitting Porn Might Land You in Jail
The Crime and Policing Act, which goes into force on November 6, criminalizes possessing or publishing strangulation or suffocation porn, as well as some types of "close familial relatives" roleplay.

Think about the legislation.
Good morning, Mississippi.
November 4, 2026 at 12:56 PM
Pass sensible legislation and if it gets vetoed, the GOP will pay the price in 2028.
