Very bummed that Adorama is closed all week cuz the B&H guys just want you in and out and I have a question about one of my stupid lenses thats having an issue for the guy who has worked with Leicas there for like 25 years

It was instant love. What a beautiful, easy-to-use little camera, and the images are excellent. It’s blasphemy, of course, but for my kind of photography I’m beginning to prefer these M43 cameras to my far higher-spec Leicas, at least for most day-to-day stuff.

The Hasselblad I used was through a photo store I worked at. Had a few medium format cameras 6x6 and 6x7 but sold all of them when film cost and processing became objectionable. Still have all my 35mm, including two Leicas, an M-4 and an MD-a, that used to be for my Reprovit. Also still have a 4x5 🤷♂️

Btw I often use two cameras, 35 and 85 primes. I did a lot of work on film in 80-90s like that either with Nikon or leicas. I do it with X Pro 2s now

Na man those hasselblad and leicas are for amateurs (non derogatory) with deep pockets. Most pros use 35mm cameras for convenience or fuji gfx system because it has native modern shift lenses. In over ten years of professional photo assistant work i’ve only met 2 ppl with x1d and one with a leica sl

There appears to be a shortage of both. It can take two months or more to have a fountain pen repaired. Same story with film cameras.
