Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet was one of the best in my lifetime. Olivia Hussey and Leonard Whiting did Shakespeare proud. It holds up perfectly after all this time.

Rest now, dear Juliet.

Rest easy Olivia. Starring with my oldest sister Sarah’s father, Leonard Whiting in the original 1968 version of Romeo and Juliet. Such an undeniable beauty and another angel from an unforgettable generation gained in heaven. ❤️

Olivia Hussey died today. My heart aches. She was my first and last, Juliet. And she was my hero when years later she and her co-star sued Paramount Pictures for the child abuse they suffered--in that way standing up for generations of children past and present. #OliviaHussey #LeonardWhiting #Heroes
