#Li-6800
Today I learned (the hard way) that the LiCor LI-6800 moves files into trash if you intentionally or accidentally overwrite them - so the original is recoverable.

Exploring A-Ci curves in C4 grass!

This is my first time analysing CO₂ response for a C4 plant using the LI-6800 dynamic assimilation technique.

Understanding the productivity and resilience of these tropical forages. 🌱 ✨

LI-6800 is like your mother, tucking a sweater into your backpack as you run out the door.

A Psychrometric Temperature Correction for the Positive Bias Observed in Stomatal Conductance Measured by the Open Flow‐Through LI‐600 Porometer
The study showed that the LI-COR LI-600 porometer systematically overestimates stomatal conductance relative to LI-6800 gas exchange measurements, with the bias increasing at high stomatal conductanc...

The LI-6878 Leaf Trace Gas Integration System pairs the LI-6800 with select LI-COR Trace Gas Analyzers, measuring leaf-level CH4, N2O fluxes, or CO2 isotopes in real time, with a compact system that replaces room-scale setups or modeled data.

Thank you to LI-COR for supporting #Botany2026!

🌾🔥 RESEARCH 🔥🌾

Drought timing reshapes switchgrass metabolism and biofuel quality: early drought boosts stress resilience but creates fermentation inhibitors such saponins, while late drought improves ethanol yield – Basyal et al.

I guess I meant an instrument that is simpler than the 6800 but has updated features 😅

How many brains does it take to set up a Li-6800 aquatic chamber?! Lots of fun this morning with @bethloveys.bsky.social, @aaronlphillips.bsky.social, et al. We successfully got the chamber up and running! Excited to put it through its paces

Looking for advice on measuring net carbon fixation in a CAM species (Kalanchoe) using a LI-6800. I have experience with the instrument, but not with CAM plants.

Any tips on optimizing chamber conditions, timing relative to the diel cycle, or leaf/plant attachment to the 6800?
