I've had a great few days in Brighton for Lib Dem Conference, and as always I've had a busy schedule.

There's been a lot of networking and late nights, but I've also been speaking on motions, fringes and roundtables.

LibDemvoice4women are a group of LibDem members supporting anti trans views. They are not a recognised group and have no official standing in the LibDems. LibDemWomen, on the other hand are a recognised group within the party and are a wholly inclusive group and most definitely not transphobic.

The suspension of Met officers over alleged abuse and extremist sympathies shows why our @LibDemWomen amendment at conference was so vital — policing must be transparent, accountable, and free from prejudice if it is to earn public trust.

Manchester, Cllr Chris Northwood. Chris happens to be trans.
