In the Falklands war, Argentina attempted “operation Algeciras” to smuggle a team of guerillas into Gibraltar and attack Royal naval shipping with limpet mines. They were caught by a tip off from the rental car company because they were posing as Costa tourists.
Even if it *actually went down exactly the way that it's being presented*, it's valuable to think about why that strikes us as outrageous, or evil, or the work of sinister Islamist terrorists, or whatever. That's certainly the message that reactionaries want to get out of it. But why? Here's why.
