Isn’t it just

‘She looks thoughtful’ is an (unintentionally?) hilarious line before that quote though

(Fun fact: Shriver and I both worked in the Linenhall Library in Belfast. Be very surprised if she brought her mum collection to work…)

This week’s #OnlineArtExchange is ‘books’ for 'Lady Chatterley’s Cover: The Book Designs of Stephen Russ’ at Chippenham Museum @chippenhammuseum.bsky.social

IGRS Top Research Tip #185: The Linenhall Library in Belfast has a terrific collection of Irish postcards (mainly Ulster) which have been scanned, indexed & posted online. Find out what your ancestor’s local town looked like a century or more ago: www.postcardsireland.com

I had the best morning in The Linenhall Library looking through Joan Lingard’s manuscripts for the Kevin and Sadie books (plus this gorgeous novel she wrote aged 11) Radio 4 documentary about Lingard’s life, work and legacy coming soon. Delighted to be involved.

The latest issue of Kolaj magazine features an article about the ‘Intentional Selection’ collage exhibition which took place during the summer at the Linenhall Gallery in Castlebar, Ireland.

The piece includes some nice words about our work + a photo of our artwork entitled “Hail Satan”.

Found this nice plan of the Linenhall, for the Dublin Civic Exhibition of 1914, in a book on planning history up to 1920. Entrance from the now Kings Inns Park at the top. Found a bit of film from the BFI too. replay.bfi.org.uk/video/58ff91...

I've been helping to mentor these 8 teenage playwrights for a few months now. Today, thanks to Fighting Words, The Linenhall Arts Centre and Others, professional actors and directors will finish their long weekend of prep with a rehearsed reading. Come and see, if you're in the vicinity.
