Amigos please keep Chocoflan in your thoughts today. He will be having surgery to remove two masses from under his skin. If you don't know, he suffers from liposarcoma and he develops lots of tiny masses. The vet suggested to only remove those that can harm his blood flow or function 💫

I got my tumor’s biopsy results back & unfortunately my Pleomorphic Liposarcoma cancer has returned. I’ll know more in the coming weeks. It sucks & I’m scared but I have a great medical team that will help rid me of this beast! #Cancer

I am going to go pick up Gauge. The swelling in his cheek is a fatty mass, so either a lipoma or a liposarcoma. Hopefully the biopsy will let us know exactly what. And hopefully it's slow growing so we can figure out what to do next.

B and (sometimes) D. This is a myxoid WDL, not a true MLPS. True MLPS don’t seem to occur in the RP. The cells here are also a bit too angulated and hyperchromatic. In addition to MDM2, extensively myxoid WDL often have DDIT3 amp, but not rearrangement.

It does appear to be a lipoma (benign) and not a liposarcoma (malignant)! A surgeon is going to contact me next week w a potential plan & cost estimate to remove both this lump and a nearby papilloma that we’ve been talking about getting rid of bc it’s becoming an infection risk
they have needle aspirated it and so far it does seem to be fatty tissue of some kind and lipomas are whatever but with its size and location it may need to be removed. they will call me tomorrow w more info after they run the sample through the Machine That Knows What Cells Are

Morning everyone! Two weeks from now we’ll just be landing in #Bilbao, one of our happy places. Still struggling to believe we’ll be there again - just two months ago I had a nasty liposarcoma removed. I really didn’t think I’d be going anywhere so soon! #travel #grateful

Despite being a four time cancer survivor (prostate, liposarcoma, metastatic prostate, Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia) I’ve had the good fortune to not have anyone recommend crystals. A few of my fellow patients took up their recommendation and are sadly, now deceased.
