Trying my hand at writing a GameLit/LitRPG serial. I've seen a lack of indie authors (outside of the main guys) writing a ton of comedy-focused stories. Is that part of the genre dead?

Anyway, this is an excerpt from my coming story +100 - John Dimensions.

One of the more interesting components of dungeon crawler Carl as far as where i am in book 1 has been js that its use of pop culture and pop mythos is very overt (direct name drops etc) but also somehow Less than the things its inspired from (or at least in the Litprg WN space)

Scholastic UK (@scholasticuk.bsky.social) has acquired Dungeon Defender, the first in an “action-packed” LitPRG series for middle-grade readers, by author and games writer Dave Rudden.

The first book will be published as a lead title in July 2027 and the second in late spring 2028. 👇

Updates on the pic process for Book 3 on my LitPRG Valor Tale, am I running for any municipal office in Chicago’s 2027 elections?, my thoughts on our Navy sailors being mistreated under Trump, it’s time for universal healthcare, and the 2028 Democratic primary presidential elections. Enjoy.

Got my three chapters written and decided to treat myself by reading something tonight. Was thinking of one of these. Both quite old, but still good.

I just posted a new chapter of Dominion on Patreon. The ride is getting wild. If you like LitRPG with crunch, power that has to be earned, a little grit in your survival, and heart in your heroes, come check it out.

I recently stumbled onto LitPRG and Royal Road. Honestly reading Apocalyptic Survival and other types has helped me stop doom scrolling and raging as much. Only come on social media a couple times a week at most now.

It’s my first time trying out LitPRG, so it has been fun. I’m discovering them as I write, it’s always interesting this way 😸

Decided to check a gnoll related litprg book that was recommended to me... and honestly I did not like it; the setting just full on being a VR MMO and how its handled (specially the reason the plot is happening) sadly put me off massively
it did leave me hungry for gnoll literature.

"Oh, you're writing a litprg?"

Nah son, in this house we write litroidvania

Tbh, I've never really figured out what litrpg means... but maybe if it's not tall that litprg, it makes sense to me!

I love LitPRG books! I think I have that one on my To Read list. Also, woof!
