LITVERSE ACKNOWLEDGED

What’s your unpopular Star Trek opinion?

1) The franchise is starting to rely far too much on fanservice

2) The litverse ending was good

3) Discovery is far better than some people credit it with being.
What’s your unpopular Star Trek opinion?

1) Picard S1 was messy but far more interesting than the following seasons.

2) The obsession with TNG style Star Trek is holding the franchise back and it has been since DS9.

3) Discovery is far better than people give it credit for.
What’s your unpopular Star Trek opinion?

1) after 20 years, the post-finale continuity in the novels was due for a reset.

2) I liked the novelverse conclusion in CODA.

3) The main characters on LOWER DECKS ending up crucial to many Cerritos missions kinda undermines the hook of the show

I’ll never forgive Star Trek for murdering the litverse to prop up the rotting corpse that is all of Nu Trek but damn if the litverse murder covers don’t go hard

Any thoughts on why the #StarTrek litverse seems to have backed away from TNG & DS9 outside of comics?

Star Trek, litverse, First Splinter variant.

Been re-reading old #StarTrek "litverse" novels. And as good as so many books are, I'm frustrated by the knowledge basically none of the original characters really become anything or go anywhere. And those that do often got disappointing endings. Despite being marvelous characters in great books. 😞

PS: Thanks to litverse to correct that grave error.

Bummed to hear the news about Star Trek, author Peter David. He brought particular style of weird and fun to the Trek litverse. His New Frontier series was such a cool expansion of the franchise.

RIP Peter David.

The other day I mentioned I wrote my first horror poem in almost a year. Well, I've written 3 in the past couple days. And today, I submitted them! So they are out there somewhere in the Litverse, waiting to be discovered. Hopefully soon! #poetry #poems #horror #amwriting #gettingbacktoit

Harriman got some justice in the litverse, but man… it was hard imagining that guy in the Enterprise’s center seat.

Love the actor though. Would’ve loved to see him in action more on the bridge of a starship.

She makes several appearances in the DS9 "relaunch" novels in the Trek litverse!

And my less impressive, double-stacked Star Trek shelves. Really hard to find a lot of these, but I've definitely been enjoying my journey through the boldly-going litverse!

Anyone ever pick one of these up, from any era? Have a favorite? Your own, more impressive collection?

Agreed! I'm so glad to see some post-Picard adventures with Captain Seven at the helm. IDW's picking up the ball Paramount apparently dropped. I wonder if the litverse is allowed to move things forward? I'd love to see a @davidmack.pro book fleshing things out even further.

In the Litverse with the novel "Homecoming", the almost first thing we can read is 7 dumping Chakotay... 😊

I always wonder what happened to her… I’m pretty sure the litverse (kinda like the Star Trek equivalent to Star Wars Legends) followed up on her at some point but I haven’t read any of it

Finished rereading Margaret Wander Bonanno‘s Star Trek „Strangers from the Sky“ for the first time in 30 years. Though it contradicts canon, it holds up well. It’s recounts through an in-universe book the real first contact between humans and Vulcans. In the Trek litverse before First Contact,
