Realizing that a lot of people sharing shitty opinions on video games are under 20 and have grown up on a diet of gacha & liveservice shit is both relieving in that it's hard to take them seriously but also horrifying cuz these people are gonna take over as the main demographic of games

I will not buy this whole "nEw GaMeS SuCk" propoganda. Sure there's a few weak entries and some crappy remake titles. Not to mention the liveservice oversaturation. But we've also had some remarkable new IP's, beautifully crafted remakes, and incredible indie titles.

Granted not every gamers play Hoyo gacha games but definitely this bullshit started during the pandemic where a game called Genshin Impact that is an openworld and liveservice game came out. And now suddenly every game is openworld and gamers demand every game to be live service.

The craziest thing about liveservice is how many people they've convinced that the current progression systems in these games aren't possible in any other model when both Payday 2 and Deep Rock Galactic exist.
