Good analysis of what needs to happen to ensure adoption of cancer care innovations but 🥱 so disappointing that the piece implies innovation only happens in diagnosis & treatment. There’s a lot in the Cancer Plan about #LivingWithAndBeyondCancer - what about innovation for long term quality of life?

Cancer is a very stressful disease, not only physically but also psychologically. A meta-analysis now shows that patients who have to endure this stress alone are more likely to die than those who have a supportive social environment.

#PelvicRadiationDisease can cause numerous symptoms, yet awareness is low and support is very limited in the UK, with no services in Northern Ireland.
