Old Sir Rowland Hill, 'Renaissance Hero', repaired the Commonwealth by refounding the London Hospitals (and more). This spirit lived on: Robert Dudley founded the Lord Leycester Hospital in Warwick to fill the similar gaps.

Fascinating talk at Old Shire Hall in Warwick regarding The Battle of Saragarhi which was a last-stand battle fought before the Tirah Campaign between the British Indian Empire and Afghan tribesmen. A collaboration between @Warwickshire_CC @LordLeycester #SHAWL

Attended screening of The Sikh Soldier by SHAWL at #LordLeycester hospital. As a historian, I found it moving & vital in honouring the 1.5M+ Indian soldiers in WW1 & 3.5M+ across both wars. Thank you, Sky Cheema & Joseph Archer.
