My wife wanted to detour to Barry Island today and I was only too happy to oblige because they filmed the beach scene in Village of the Angels near here but also…*that* beach scene from lotsd 💔

Like, okay, you could argue that they dropped the ball with PotD. Lord knows I have. But LotSD? That is *the* Thasmin episode, it's just silly to say that the storyline stopped at EOTD.
"The Thasmin storyline didn't do anything after EOTD" meanwhile the emotional crux of LITERALLY THE NEXT EPISODE is completely centered around Thasmin be for real now 😂

I guess it depends a lot on what your criteria are. Kill the Moon was a terrible script, but executed basically competently considering. LotSD was… not. Missing sfx shots, missing _scenes_, continuity errors, the least convincing sword fight ever: I’m frankly surprised the boom mic wasn’t in frame.

Listened to every episode of your Jodie era rewatch, my favourite era. Enjoyed them all (even LOTSD) Well done chaps.

I want the show to be good but I’d rather have had a third Ncuti run before we start doing spin-offs with the brand is in a really solid place.

I always feel biased when talking about the LotSD design because I never held the original design from The Sea Devils in high regard in the first place. The story was great because of the Master, not the monsters.

The one in LotSD is also unintentionally funny because the guy's sole reason for sacrificing himself is because he thinks he's trapped in the future and there's nothing for him in this new time, the Doctor and Yaz not once mentioning they have a time machine that could get him home.
