Friday missive from the Cottage Studio ✨ ignore the subject line 🤦‍♀️ It’s actually about these “new rhythms” they have now, anti-perfectionism, and summoning some fire from within the gloom 🔥🔥🔥

The Cottage Gloomio. Grey skies. Damp England. Scruffy shabby vibes.

This week's Cottage Studio newsletter begins the process of delving into this idea👇 mailchi.mp/loulayorke/w... (category thought experiment to be abandoned quickly if my investigations start to suck the joy out of actually playing 💫)

The monthly sound offering for December is now live on Bandcamp, and if you scroll down this email, below the jazzy new artwork (and some thoughts), you will find this month's listening notes
Some thoughts
I am trying to become a better writer; to access some kind of authentic voice that feels like me, or a voice that can accommodate most of the ways I am. Currently I'm still clenching my jaw pretty tightly while I type, but progress is being made.

I'm rather enjoying the tastefully banging Acid track 'Moonface' by Loula Yorke: soundcloud.com/loulayorke/m...

It's taken from the Moonbuilding Summer 2025 compilation, a superb eleven track showcase of Loula's work - moonbuilding.bandcamp.com/album/moonbu...

Moonface

this bangs ok. Inspired by Paul Birken – Hang 202 (@tonewrecker) released in 1996 [Neutron + Waverider wave & subwave all sequenced by xoxbox + a tr09 thru a MuffPi pedal]
