Every time I see a house show where they've put black taps and shower etc in I immediately scream inwardly and think about the limescale #LoveItOrListIt

#LoveItOrListIt The Jam - Snap! Definitely a keeper. Some of the rarely heard non-album singles and deeper cuts are soooo good. They had such fresh electric energy at their peak which, to be fair went to the end. Few bands achieve that. #VinylCommunity

#LoveItOrListIt OMD - Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (1980) I have this innovative debut on CD already and enjoy its familiar catchy melodic synthpop a lot. It's like a keeper, but should it stay or should it go?

#albumoftheday Traffic - The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys (1971) #LoveItOrListIt Got this in a collection this week. Upbeat psychedelic prog helmed by Capaldi and Winwood. But should it stay or should it go? Best track - title track #NowPlaying

#LoveItOrListIt Jean Michel Jarre - Equinoxe (1978) Do I need another JMJ album after Oxygene? There's a colourful, upbeat perkiness to this album that suggests it could be a welcome new age techno-adjacent addition to the collection, but......should it stay or should it go?

#LoveItOrListIt Sister Sledge - Lost In Music (Nile Rodgers Mix) (1984) A keeper for sure. This mix distils the essence of this classic into an 80's dancefloir monster. Absolute banger! 🎵I'm Lost In Music, Caught In A Trap🎵 #VinylCommunity

#LoveItOrListIt INXS - X (1990) Someone gave me 80+ CDs last week and this is one of the few I'm considering keeping. This album is full of hits and I'm a sucker for Hutchence's voice and the bands 70's Rolling Stones vibe, but should it stay or should it go? #NowPlaying

#LoveItOrListIt Al Stewart - Year Of The Cat (1976) I feel that this one could be divisive. I know nothing about Al Stewart. On first listen this is pleasant enough. A hint of ear-friendly Leonard Cohen in the phrasing. I'm really not sure - should it stay or should it go? #VinylCommunity

#LoveItOrListIt Steely Dan - Gaucho (1980) Where "Can't But A Thrill" was, well, thrilling, Gaucho is a musical tranquiliser. Opener, Babylon Sister, shows a promise that quickly ebbs away leading to quite the endurance test. So should it stay, or should it go? #NowPlaying....Go.

#LoveItOrListIt Saint Etienne - Foxbase Alpha (1991) Remarkably, I've never heard this, beyond the 45s. On first listen, there's a fair bit of cool 60's inspired lounge music which perhaps inspired and validated the chillout movement. I enjoyed this but should it stay, or should it go? #NowPlaying

#LoveItOrListIt The Crusaders - Those Southern Knights (1976) Latin jazz funk noodling dominates this groove dominated LP. Unfortunately, the longer songs are the least engaging. It's a really professional, if slightly dull, effort but should it stay or should it go? #NowPlaying

#VinylCommunity Johnny Winter - The Progressive Blues Experiment (1969) A £5 #LoveItOrListIt charity shop find. Having recently discovered John Mayall, this Winters debut fits right in. Who knew? I'm getting a very belated taste for 60's Blues Rock. #NowPlaying

#LoveItOrListIt Dexy's Midnight Runners - Searching For The Young Soul Rebels (1980) Remarkably, I've never heard this before. Once you get past Rowland's strangulated vocal style you're left with the not inconsiderable rebirth of British soul. But should it stay, or should it go? #VinylCommunity

#LoveItOrListIt Donald Fagan - The Nightfly (1982) An FM staple of ultra smooth latin tinged jazz rock. I'm really finding it difficult for it to hold my attention, but should it stay or should it go? It's a strong "List It" from me, I'm afraid. Soporific - Zzzzzzzzz. #NowPlaying

#LoveItOrListIt #albumoftheday Sade - Diamond Life (1984) From track one, this feels like a keeper. Ice cool pop jazz with silky voiced Sade Adu weaving in and out of the sublime sax noodling. 1984 was so ready for this. Best track - Your Love Is King #MusicSky

#LoveItOrListIt Beverley Knight - Music City Soul (2007) First listen to this modern soul artist. Her reputation as an extraordinary voice is backed up by the Daptone-like authentuc valve sound of the band. I had a singalong to Rock Steady but should it stay or should it go? #NowPlaying

#LoveItOrListIt Icehouse - Icehouse (1981) From the first chords, I knew this was a keeper. A £3 chazza find that's an interesting mix of muscular new wave, Bowie/Garson era rock and synthpop - all unified by immense melodies. #NowPlaying

#LoveItOrListIt Crusaders - Street Life (1979) Ultra smooth latin jazz funk with a monster version of the title track. I'm tempted to keep, but should it stay, or should it go? Let me know. #NowPlaying

#LoveItOrListIt Scritti Politti - Songs To Remember (1982) A divine voice emerging from the arty post punk underground into a funky synthpop mainstream. Sweetest Girl on C81 had whetted our appetites for this transitional album but should it stay, or should it go? #VinylCommunity #NowPlaying

#LoveItOrListIt #albumoftheday Lisa Stansfield - Affection (1989) This is definitely a keeper. Superb pop R&B from Rochdale's finest. I have this on unplayable cassette so an LP is a no brainer. Best track - All Around The World #VinylCommunity

#LoveItOrListIt Eartha Kitt - Eartha Kitt Revisited (1960) I'm enjoying this recent chazza acquisition by the impish, smokey voiced, gold digger a lot and I can see it possibly getting a regular run out when I'm in easy jazz mode, but should it stay or should it go? #NowPlaying

#LoveItOrListIt Robert Palmer - Clues (1980) From track one this LP is clearly a keeper. Equal parts stylish and a stylistic magpie. New wave one track, Stones-adjacent the next. Funk, r&b, Beatles covers, everything smoothly executed as Palmer enters his definitive decade. #VinylCommunity

#NowPlaying #LoveItOrListIt Half Man Half Biscuit - The Trumpton Riots EP. A reissue with Dukla Prague Away Kit as a bonus track. Rough and ready lo-fi garage punk rock beloved of John Peel. A fine example of the genre but should it stay or should it go. #VinylCommunity

#LoveItOrListIt Frank Sinatra - For The Sophisticated (1966) One for my Dad. Another recent chazza acquisition features the king of swing pop balladeering backed, mostly, by the peerless Nelson Riddle Orchestra. It's a cracker, but should it stay, or should it go? #NowPlaying
