#LowPaid
It really is. I like that kind os stipulation. Although I generally think lowpaid workers are too poorly paid for the amount of work they put in.

initially the plan was lowpaid would never pay back and it was quasi progressive (they said). keep tweaking, and it gets less and less so.

since we were young, they ask us drawing free for school activities
when we grow up a bit, they ask us for draw some walls and lowpaid or even unpaid
and now we are adult, they add rules allow using AI

Just watched QT. VanVelden is the epitomy of "burn the village to save the village" that came from the war on Vietnam. The notion that lowpaid vulnerable workers are better off without fairpay agreements & able to be fired at will would be laughable if it wasn't so serious. She's gaslighting them

🙄🙄
He paints over Micky Mouse murals He puts up flags on lamposts He lurks at barriers to catch fare dodgers and for his next move in his barrel scraping descent, Honest Bob Jenrick wants to stop lowpaid working families from taking their kids out for the day!
What a fucking piece of drek he is!

While some lowpaid jobs pay $18 an hour now, things are worse because now the overclass has the taste of the dream of never employing anyone again in their mouths
It's not like we had a crippling recession when we millennials graduated from college or anything 🫠

Of course what really happened: the early housing boom was part flimsy sprawl & part ill-built mcmansions, there was an immense backlash due to water issues & habitat loss, housing froze, now we're in a crisis & lowpaid fulltime workers live in their cars or commute from shanties in the wilderness.

Americans are going to sew clothings in their own - yet new to build - factories. Hahahahha 🤣🤣🤣 and without help from lowpaid immigrants. Europe wishes you all very much success!

Don't you know, this is how all AI works irl. Take those apps that can capture your receipts, analyse them and magically break out the different fields. Or those cctv apps that analyse images and work out humans, pets and even determine individuals by name. The unresolved pics go to lowpaid humans.

Last November, @njpolicy.bsky.social proposed a realty transfer fee in a large package of progressive revenue raisers, thanks to great work by @ptrchn1.bsky.social! Now Gov is proposing it in the FY26 budget! One tweak tho, let’s dedicate it to housing. Rising housing costs are hurting lowpaid fams.

...from wanting to train to be a nurse. Some cost of living payments were introduced few years later, but student nurses still have to take loans out to cover their tuition costs &, as graduates go, nurses are lowpaid & they don't want the student loan mill-stone. So we have to rely on o/seas nurses

looking for sensible international analyses of lockdown policies that compares:
- what happened to service/manual workers
- what happened to lowpaid workers when sick
- what happened to ppl who lived alone, were they allowed a F2F pal
- what was offered to re-integrate ppl (incl kids) after lockdown

It worked, though, didn't it? The rich haven't been taxed more, and more of the lowpaid and disabled are being dragged into the tax system. There is no equivalence between those who can't afford a second yacht and those who can't afford heating, yet this nonsense continues.

Many lifelong @teamlabouruk.bsky.social supporters are wondering why @ukgovofficial.bsky.social is trying to force people with crippling physical or mental illness into lowpaid, insecure minimum wage jobs without any plans to make the support they need for transport, care and safety available.

key & important article because it explains that every nasty thing Nats do - every choice to prioritise attacks on the lowpaid / vulnerable / Māori etc at the expense of those better off - is underpinned by a lie which is apparently being swallowed hook line & sinker by many in media & public

This really is the racketyist racket. The sort of idea Tory Government would come up with… 🤯😡 #Exploitation #LowPaid
Brainstorm: how can we make more money?
How about taking it from the lowest paid?
How would that work?
Charge them a fee to get their wages!
Brilliant. And relate it to the time they have to wait!
Even better! bit.ly/40vMZna
‘So immoral’: gig economy workers forced to pay fee to receive their wages

When Everton built one they got
1. No state funding
2. Points deductions from corrupt Premier League
3. Forced to sell best players Like Richarlisson
4. No transport upgrade
Whereas Manure (like City) want huge state funding while the billionaire creep Ratcliffe sacks lowpaid staff. Despicable

A friend of mine told me a few months ago that they worker an automated customer support phone line where people thought they were completely talking to a machine but it was really lowpaid workers essentially operating a soundboard

Unclear what you meant.
Using this space to say LUDDITES were the original Rage Against The Machine. A 19th Cen English labor movement that began with skilled textile artisans who fought against the use of automating machinery to use lowpaid unskilled workers & decrease in quality.

Feels like 90% of revolutionary AI are fraud and/or lowpaid workers in formerly colonized countries.

Fuck AI, we don't need that shit!
Pay artists and creative workers instead!
Every time tech companies release a demo that absolutely blows everyone's mind and launches a million think-pieces about how industries will change, there's always a short piece that comes out weeks or months later that reveals the demo was basically made up. Case in point:
Turns Out That Extremely Impressive Sora Demo... Wasn’t Exactly Made With Sora
A viral two-minute short titled "Air Head," created in part by using OpenAI's video-generating Sora tool, required a good bit human editing.
