As of January 1st, the BC LowerMainland (southwest) has 46 First Nations, with a collective band membership of 29,083 and a reserve area of 352.1 Square Kilometres. There will be 10 band elections this year, with 3 in Metro Vancouver. 1 Metro Vancouver land claim will be on trial this year. 1

The two strongest wind gusts I could find today in the #BC #LowerMainland/Metro #Vancouver area were just a shy over 105km/h (65mph) at #PointAtkinson and atop the #AlexFraserBridge— Most other areas topping betw/ 50-80km/h.
