The GMC T83 chassis seemed like a good candidate for a gun upgrade, and so the Americans put the 8" M1 howitzer on it instead of the 155 mm gun. #OTD in 1944 this project was given the name HMC T89. It was later standardized as the HMC M43. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII

this is part of why I don't love the cheap novelty digital camera trend. the kodak charmera is cute and fun, all its imitators are basically producing e-waste. it's never been a better time to get a cheap mirrorless interchangeable lens camera in FF, APS-C, or M43
