It occurs to me that not everyone knows how to get to Sugarbush, the ski resort JD Vance is visiting.
It’s a great mountain, but even if you don’t ski, it’s a beautiful drive to get there, especially on a clear day like tomorrow.

Think about what the GOP is revealing with their attempt to suddenly change the Congressional maps: they know their agenda is so unpopular that they're going to lose unless something changes.

You know which young people still know how to read maps? The ones who read fantasy books. Those have maps galore in them.
I remember when The Amazing Race first premiered and I was astounded at how many of the contestants didn't know how to read a map.

According to USGS GNIS "Per Secretarial Order 3453, Lake Ontario has been renamed to Lake America. The basemaps for GNIS are in the process of being updated."
So Google (& Apple, OpenStreetMap, & everyone else who ingests GNIS) will start calling it Lake America within a few weeks.

this is both:
1) an extremely stupid situation caused by a deeply unserious individual and
2) 100% the correct product call by google
they do this all the time for disputed names, and even change borders depending on who's viewing, e.g. the disputed border between India and Pakistan.

The media is failing voters in Texas. They didn’t just make new maps that ‘favor Republicans’, they made new maps without the voice of the voters that further disenfranchise large communities of Black Texans. These are racist maps through and through.
