Currently using an MBP16 + Samsung G9, but it's getting long in the tooth, and the Studio Display is a *nice* package.

As my first full week with the M4 MBP16 closes, upgrading from a 2016 MBP15, I have not been this “surprised and delighted” by a purchase since iPhone 4 or iPod mini.
As one who lived thru the advent of mobile computing, Apple achieved the 60 year old sci-fi dream of turning PC’s into appliances.

I ran my M4 MBP16 down to 16% battery yesterday (Sunday) and began its first, complete, charge cycle. It charged to 100% in a couple of hrs, reached 80% under 1 hr.
I wasn’t around to unplug it immediately, for recording purposes.
14 hrs later…
For Gen X, we witnessed computers become appliances.

didn't have a decent gaming PC again until 2020 (this poor melting MBP16 in my hands right now) so took a bit. Got through Far Cry 5 and 6 in that time too so that probably explains it. No playstation here until shortly before HFW came out. I said I'm absolutely not waiting 2 years for it to hit PC.

I know it’s due to ARM but I’m using full Photoshop on it.
The battery life of my #M4Max #MBP16 is bordering on impossibility. After 22 hours on battery, 7+ hours screen on, and it’s still on? WTF. 😳
I upgraded from an intel Core i7 #MBP. Advertised life was 10 hours; I’d get 4.

古い撮影RAW/JPEGデータはMBP16の破壊と同時にすべて失われているので自分のFlickrからダウンロードするしかないのがヤバい．

自分がサブスクなストリーミングに移行したのは結構遅かった．それまでは太古から大量なCDとMP3ファイルを保持/保持し続けていて物理的に放棄するのに抵抗があったからだろう．MBP16が破壊され結果的にサブスク/ストリーミングに移行したら物理的に放棄する事に抵抗はなくなった．
