The 44th Mechanized Brigade has shared new images of one of their Leopard 1A5 MBTs. Germany together with Denmark and the Netherlands has so far delivered 103 Leopard 1A5 MBTs to #Ukraine, with another 32 Leopard 1A5 MBTs to be delivered in the near future.

Since Rheinmetall has contractually guaranteed never to transfer the Leopard 1A5 MBTs, their components or accessories to #Ukraine, the Swiss RUAG, which still has 96 Leopard 1A5 MBTs in a warehouse in Italy, is allowed to sell them to Rheinmetall!

The assault failed, miserably. Ukrainian FPV drones were hitting armor, one by one. 12 Russian APCs and 2 MBTs were destroyed. Partially dismounted Russian human material from the destroyed vehicles was escaping on foot, but was in several cases successfully destroyed.

Rheinmetall will therefore apparently soon buy 71 Leopard 1A5 MBTs and have an option to buy a further 25 as soon as their ownership has been clarified. There have already been legal disputes with another German company about these 25 Leopard 1 MBTs for some time now.
