@glyph just learned about mopup from that article you posted :> very cool, i always felt like the versions of python you got from python.org were doomed to be out of date. but is there a reason to use this over, for example, a macports or brew python? just so you can get a Framework build?

Don't get me wrong, Lorenzen ain't great, but if you squint (split away from Coors/vs righties this season), it's not as ugly.
Walking 5 in 146 PA is good, striking out 23, not so much. Lots of singles though. 40 hits and 33 are singles.
Not saying it's sexy, but there may be pockets and/or mopup

It is kind of crazy the Braves are using. a mopup guy in a tie game. The Os lineup is so poor right now it might work.

Today's game is requiring so much mopup running duty from your Álvarezes, Szoboszlais, Valverdes, Fernandeses that you can't help but think it's zapping their own goal-scoring potential.

Kotama is funny because the map mopup phase where you can finally chip away at every part of the map is like 70% of the game's runtime.

On macOS, `pipx run --python 3.12 mopup` is so much better than any of the on-demand builders and their various weird failure modes. Even standalone-python has failed on me in practice due to the way it’s compiled.
