Glad to see the MRCC is back up! Funding restored by NOAA/Dept of Commerce. But ridiculous that funding for regional climate centers was removed in the first place.

Well this would be a big problem for someone like me. I have come to rely on the MRCC's cliMATE tool for historical weather queries on the regular. Losing this would be devastating.

The cli-MATE data portal via the MRCC has long been an absolutely vital source to pull historical weather and climate data.
Some news. Those of you that utilize the cli-MATE tool from the Midwest Regional Climate Center will no longer have access unless funding is restored before the 17th.

The MRCC ordered the vessel to shift from standard DSC to HF Voice (J3E) on 8737 kHz. The ship’s AIS track showed it proceeding steadily at 12 knots.

Das MRCC Rome akzeptierte das Stabilitäts-Argument und wies uns an, 42 Menschen vor Lampedusa an die Küstenwache zu übergeben. Die restlichen 14 Menschen, die mit unserer Stabilität kompatibel sind, verbleiben an Bord und sollen nun trotzdem nach Reggio Calabria.
Das ist nichts als Schikane.
