I agree! Around 2000, I rebuilt a MS-DOS based point of sales application into MSAccess, and became pretty proficient in VBA. But my main job was infra and servers, so missed the shift to 'full code dev'; but picking up again with Blazor and AI now 😋

SQL isn't a database, it's a query language. And MSAccess also isn't a proper database. It's a mixup of GUI builder and query IDE with a file-based relational spreadsheet without essential database functions underneath.
