There were a few reggae and dancehall tunes out already using drum machine presets (the only big difference was the preset bassline on the Casio MT40 which is really what made the Sleng Teng what it is). 🤓

Re: the MT40. I can't find a manual for it. but I did fond something for the MT45 which looks similar.
It looks like it's the old rubber membrane things under the keys?
If so. The graphite pads can degrade and go non conductive.
There's a couple of options.

Wir hatten jetzt ein Jahr lang die TCL MT40 (in der 2. Klasse) und die anfängliche Begeisterung ist leider verflogen. Die App ist Katastrophe und zB Sprachnachrichten werden nicht zugestellt, ohne dass das Kind das dann merkt. Wir haben jetzt viel recherchiert und sind zu dem Ergebnis gekommen, 1/2
