If you've got Tubi, the documentary on the Mellotron is on there and is very interesting. Listeners to my music over the last 15 years will know that I rarely released anything that didn't contain at least a hint of Mtron. It was an addiction, I guess.

Aaand the LEGO sets I actually bought at Canby Bricks & Minifigs. Was very excited to find small sets in my three favorite Space themes: Ice Planet 2002, Blacktron II, and MTron.

My parents bought me this to keep me amused on a holiday. This was such a wonderful toy. Mtron was a brilliant Lego theme.

I know the licensed sets are impressive and appealing. I do think that #Lego is at its best when it's more generic - Black Knights, Pirates, City, Space, Mtron - where there a theme and the story and play is entirely up to the builder.

Jen had a bunch of like MTron Sets and at least one big Aquatic one and they were all organized. My mom found mine and they're definitely not organized

That looks awesome. The red colours remind me of LEGO MTron, though this has a cooler look.

You know, Blacktron, Futuron, Mtron, Ice Planet - distinct identities but completely reliant on the child's imagination. I loved that era.

Buzzes out ok. I’ll be amazed if it works without tweaking, purely because of the motor control and head lock selection. At the 34pin end it’s /MTRON and /MOTEB on pin 16, /INUSE and /DLOCK (16) and /HLD (18) at the 50pin end. Time to hook up a Gotek and buzz out the GND lines.
