Thanks Shane. Since 2003 I've gone through 4 15" - 17" MacBookPros, look brand new w pristine silver titanium casing. Hope someone will start a business that'd open up & refurbish the macs & make them run on linux or raspberrypi or such like. I'm distrustful of US control on its devices in Europe.

It should work, what I have done recently as well is look on eBay for used laptops older macbookpros are going for fairly decent price. If you ever start looking let me know and I can try my best to assist.

There are plenty of deals just now with M3 MacBookPros as the inventory is purged for M4. Otherwise, I agree, it is better purchase things now, next year the prices could be very different.

it's a bad and extremely wasteful sector of the economy, and doesn't even sell enough brand new macbookpros to matter to real industry.

We can at least connect our smartphones ovrt #WiFi to our #HomeInternet & then creat locall #hotspots of this connection that our #MacBookPros can connect to till we can fined a fix for this #frustrating #WiFiConnectionIssue. #Linux

Aside: web devs always get MacBookPros, don't know why, it's just industry standard. Macs run ARM chips right now but we run Linux on x86 remote. And the architecture differences affect us all the time. I've been working on dev experience lately and accounting for this is maddening.
