Hugh MacDiarmid was wrong to say that everything bad in Scotland stemmed from the Reformation. But in another sense he actually was very much correct
Remains a demented choice. We could have had bùlangeraichean serving baguettes with square sausage. But no. You wanted to be Protestant.
