#Magnetosphere
ok magnetosphere that’s a bit pretentious we get it

mars does not have magnetosphere
The whole “We aren’t going to live on Mars, ever!” thing is stupid. Have you *seen* the remote hellholes ppl will live in just to make a point / for the lulz ?

Someone is going to make a tiny Mars outpost this century just to show that they can, and it will suck but it will be cool.

terraforming mars is a project he's been obsessed with for years and he knows literally nothing about it. the magnetosphere problem is very basic stuff.

Let’s make today (May 10) Magnetosphere Appreciation Day!

A year ago today we had that huge aurora display, caused by the most powerful geomagnetic storm experienced in decades.

Lovely visualisations by NASA SVS/NASA DRIVE science centre on how our atmosphere and magnetosphere responded.

wait until he finds out that Mars doesn't have a magnetosphere
BREAKING: “in my 24th year of my quest to settle the planet Mars, I have just been informed of a basic fact of celestial mechanics.”

The purpose of this OoC is to study the genetic & molecular changes that occur to humans outside the Earth's protective magnetosphere, which deflects almost all damaging radiation.

The ISS is INSIDE the magnetosphere.

Artemis II will be the first crew to leave the magnetosphere since Dec 1972.

Go live on Mars, already!
There's no magnetosphere, but you'll be fine.

no one will live on mars. no magnetosphere. venus maybe

why are so many supposedly smart and rational people unprepared to confront the reality of what happens to a human body when they spend a significant amount of time outside the earth's magnetosphere
November 20, 2024 at 1:43 AM
No one knows what the magnetosphere is

The visualisation / animation from NASA SVS that shows #ArtemisII leaving Earth and punching through the magnetosphere is very good!

If I were doing presentations, this is the one I would use - highlighting Earth's protective magnetosphere.

The Aurora Borealis, also known as the “Northern Lights,” are a natural phenomenon caused by interference between the Earth’s magnetosphere and all the nudes you guys are texting each other back and forth

Mars doesn't have a magnetosphere.

No it isn’t what the fuck are you talking about? It doesn’t have a magnetosphere and it is incredibly far away.
Mars with modern technology and a big prestige/research budget is considerably more habitable than subsistence living with premodern tech in various especially hellish parts of the Earth.

New evidence concerning Uranus' magnetosphere suggests that some moons could be geologically active and potentially habitable

Also "Magnetosphere" is DEFINITELY what Erik Lehnsherr would call his polycule.

(Absence of) magnetosphere says no.

It reminds me of those recordings of Jupiter's magnetosphere or whatever the *actual natural space music* one of the unmanned missions sent back was.

“Coffee, green and black tea, despite their everyday popularity, can exacerbate symptoms associated with disturbances in the magnetosphere.”
