A 54-year-old man died after being struck in a crosswalk near the Magothy Gateway, a strip mall, Sunday night. Police are searching for the driver.

There's a cove on the Magothy that is extremely rich in menhaden, osprey, and a bald eagle couple, which is great! But sadly not the norm.

Haven't seen gulls over the Magothy in probably 30 years. Seeing them back this year is really exciting. And 2 separate sightings of a green heron, which I had never seen before (though I know they're native here).

You guys!!! I knew there were green herons in the Chesapeake during the summer but I've never seen one on the Magothy until today!! Hopefully the photos come out (good camera, not phone camera, so I'll have to download them to the laptop to know for sure)
