Up and out early this morning, to get #running done before our trip to Furukawa. Aiming for the Takumi shrine, but at 05:30 it seemed the path was closed (and it was as black as the ace of spades). Still, the climb up to 2100m was a good workout: with a good view of the Sukyo Mahikari World Shrine.

Takayama is a beautiful town mostly known for its well preserved old town, but it's also the home to the headquarters of the Sukyo Mahikari religion. I'm lacking context, but I couldn't help but feel its massive buildings towering over a relatively poor area of town were in poor taste
