You can try looking at some "simple" code, not going straight to the core, but look at SceneTree, MainLoop, then inherited nodes with small additions over their base classes

I can now draw lines on my display!!! 😀 The Bresenham line algorithm code is working and my own pixel plot routines are working. I am using 32x32 pixels in the RAM space that I can move around on my 16x16 display.

Drawing lines using the Bresenham algorithm and code I wrote to plot the X,Y points.

This code is the X,Y cordinates loaded in to register B,C,D,E and calling the drawLine routines then going on to the mainLoop to do display update and scan keyboard.

The code that converts the X,Y coordinates from the Bresenham routine in to memory addresses for the RAM area used for graphics.

Was curious and tested sprite blitter with CTk window and the result is the same as without it. This means what I can use CTK with pygame without sdl2, i just need to figure out a better way of embedding pygame window and resolve mainloop conflicts.

SNESticle was running way too fast on Windows 11. After trial and error, adding DDrawWaitVBlank into the mainloop under a boolean makes it run at proper speed. Now I can play some games!

Thank you all for looking into this. I was away for a while now, and I got back to my game last week. I did not have the chance to tune the physics further, so I left the last implemetation as-is and I kept the forces in the mainloop. While I was away from my PC I carried my program on my M1 laptop and it worked quiet well. I can render 1000 falling objects at 30fps on the laptop. On the desktop I can render the same 1000 objects at 140fps. The good thing with the laptop that I can also test 120fps gameplay and I can clearly see that the game runs very comparably at 30fps/60fps/120fps. I experience some jerkiness at high speed, I am not sure if this is a camera implementation issue or a physics issue. One guess is that at high speed I need higher accuracy. What is more bothering that on the desktop I have the occasional jerkiness during slower gameplay at random times. This sometimes happens early on, sometimes this manifests after playing for extended period (at least 30 minutes). By the way, my game has very simple graphics, so I can actually do 600fps and the game runs well, this jerkiness I noticed during my regular sessions at 60fps.
