🕯️Imagine arriving at a venue and being handed braille, large-print, or audio guides. Small gestures like these can make the difference between BPS people accessing a venue independently or not.

#Merseyside SLC visited #LiverpoolCathedral to explore how to #MakeArtAccessible.

i feel like i should add-- when i replied to the email on Thursday afternoon to confirm what time I'd be dropping off my work, i said i primarily used a chair and asked which entrance would be most accessible.

i did not get a reply.

i used my rollator in the gallery instead--which, again, stairs/ steps + rollators? Not Great!--and between the drive out there and the literal legwork, im definitely paying for it today 🙃

im a bit bummed that the gallery space isn't accessible, but im also not surprised. there's no way I could navigate that space in my chair even if i could have gotten my chair inside (which i couldn't).
