Currently watching Paradise Hills.
It's a horror/ thriller about a "resort" where women are given elaborate makeovers, forced to wear dresses with bandage hardware, and subjected to mind control.
And, ummmm, yeah. A lot of complicated feelings going on here.

because there is a doco about it I've just discovered there was a reality tv show made just over two decades ago called The Swan, extreme plastic surgery makeovers - got about ten minutes in and too fucking hideous and wrong for words...talk about The Beauty Myth.

Thank you! I’ve spent so many years doing LCARS makeovers of stuff, I’ve got hundreds of megabytes of LCARS design elements in illustrator to work from.
The hardest part is always just figuring out how to make elements look natural without being crowded, but still feeling “real”.

Livingston decorator leading free makeover projects for children’s bedrooms
A Scottish decorator is leading a project to provide free makeovers for children's bedrooms. Mikey McKinnon, the owner of McKinnon Decorators in Livingston, West Lothian, has been running his Mission Makeovers community project for the last few years. These projects involve Mikey – with the help of a local charity – contacting a family in need and using the skills he has built through his own business to transform a youngster’s bedroom. All work is entirely funded from his own pocket, and recently Mikey has completed his fifth Mission Makeover for two young girls who are delighted with the end product.

Sigh...what I meant to type was: Erin Lee Carr's Hulu doc, "The Swan: Behind the *Mirror*" critiques one of the worst TV shows ever made. Watching it also sparked a memory that helped me understand how this show helped place us on the path to the Mar-a-Lago face era. www.salon.com/2026/10/01/t...
