Happy #FossilFriday! Pachycephalosaurs are sometimes referred to as the “dome-headed” dinosaurs. This thick dome belongs to a large pachycephalosaur (MOR 11776) that was discovered in the #Cretaceous #HellCreekFormation of #MakoshikaStatePark.

#MORPaleo was all over the state this year! A month in #TwoMedicineFormation at #EggMountain, several weeks in #BearpawFormation digging up a BIG tylosaur, several weeks in the #KootenaiFormation digging up a big iguanodontid & wrapped at #MakoshikaStatePark #HellCreekFormation finding good stuff!
The MOR #Paleontology Field Crew is back from exploring the #Cretaceous #HellCreek Formation in Makoshika State Park in #Glendive, #Montana. Staff and students uncovered the fossils of ancient plants, #turtles, crocodiles, and #dinosaurs that roamed the region at the end of the Age of #Dinosaurs.

What's interesting to me is the differences in the badlands in different states. Check out my visit to Montana's Largest State park.

Largest Montana State Park
The Makoshika State Park in Glendive, Montana is breathtaking! Driving the park road alone is worth the stop. Hike the trails, or checkout dinosaur fossils
