When it comes down the way becomes an oral chant … “Broom Street, Yenworthy, Malmsmead …”so I don’t lose my bearings - the way can be so quiet, and animals drawn to the warm tarmac. Other lit humans are easily defined by bright lights but one time, a whole herd of Exmoor ponies ahead …
