Absolutely! By design camps just extract money and resources and distribute it elsewhere. Instead of mancamps, we need an environment where workers settle there permanently, bring their families, and put down roots. That's a hard problem though. I suppose it depends on employment diversification.

i can't sleep unclothed anymore. Too many years of working on fishboats and then remote "mancamps" & plus i live in a subduction zone & have already had to evacuate in the middle of the night for one tsunami warning
