So now we have the ludicrous situation where the Manawatū River, the Manawatū Gorge Scenic Reserve, and the Manawatū-Whanganui Region have all recently had their official names updated to use macrons, but Chris Penk won’t let them add a macron to Manawatu District. www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/land-info...
