Shit, set it in an Era where the Empire has dominated for ages but it's falling apart at the seams. Set it in the middle of an Era where the Mandalorians have conquered the galaxy instead of being a pack of mediocre mercenaries in cool-ish looking armor. Hell, have the Force Gods get resurrected.
