#Marchintosh
I actually hate all of them ("Septandy", "Marchintosh", "AMAYga", "Febutari", etc.) and wish they'd all go away. Relegating foundational subjects to 1 month trivializes their significance and treats them like temporary novelties, rather than an essential part of history to be celebrated year-round.

Appletalk PC card! I played with one on Globaltalk during Marchintosh and was nice and odd connecting to people's shares and printing to their printers on DOS

Inclusive, tava aqui me questionando qual pronuncia japonesa ficaria melhor:

マッキントッシュ (Makkintoshu)
アーチ (Āchi)

マーキントッシュ (Mākintoshu): Um pouco mais natural

Had to take a picture of "the boys" while they were out for #Marchintosh On the left is the Macintosh Quadra 950 running System 7.5.5 and on the right is the Macintosh Workgroup Server 95 running A/UX 3.1 #vintagecomputer #retrocomputing

Trying to set up my hard diskless Macintosh Work Group Server 95 for #Marchintosh After a day of futzing with a Blue SCSI v1 and v2, upgrading firmware, all combos of termination etc with no luck, I plugged in a ZuluSCSI RP2040 and worked first try. Glad it works but disappointed at the same time.

As I go through some Macintoshes for #Marchintosh, these Sony Mac floppy drive gears are going to be the death of me. Ordered a 12 pack off of eBay. Let's hope I can get these back together again because the clips that hold on the back plate are super brittle. #vintagecomputer #retrocomputer.

Macintosh Portrait Display number 2, not so good. It's quite dim compared to number 1. I am certain both need a recap. #2 has a quieter fan than #1. Will have to look at that too but maybe next #Marchintosh. Focus this time is recapping the fleet.

Got my Radius Precision Color Pivot monitor working for #Marchintosh I had to recap four Macs before I could find one that would show color. Now I have to fix 2 of the 4 Macs and go through the rest of my Macs while I'm at it. Got two Portrait displays to check too. #vintagecomputer #retrocomputer

I was thinking what I could do for #Marchintosh and thanks to your post, now I have one project. See if my portrait display works. Thanks!

In late 1984, Apple had a promotion called "Test Drive a Macintosh" where you could "test drive" a Macintosh and purchase at the end of the trial. I am not 100% sure but I believe one of my Apple Macintosh 128K computers is from this promotion. #MARCHintosh

I would love to know the story behind this pre-production Macintosh 128K motherboard I have. It was in an unmarked box (made for the 128K motherboard because of the cutouts). Inside the box along with the motherboard was a small post-it note saying "Out of the Lost Mac #A1908". #MARCHintosh

The Macintosh TV was a multimedia computer with a built-in TV tuner targeting the student. This all-in-one computer could double as a dorm room TV and with bundled software, could be a music CD player. It also came with some multimedia educational software as well. #MARCHintosh #vinagecomputer

Did you know the Apple Macintosh carrying bag came in a box and had a model number? This Macintosh "Carrying Case", model M0200, is new old stock. #MARCHintosh #vintagecomputer #retrocomputer

Here are a couple of examples of the "Drexel Mac", a specially marked Macintosh 128K computer that were supplied by Apple to Drexel University who required every freshman to have a computer in 1984. These were from the first year of this program #MARCHintosh

I have a few #vintagecomputer posters and one of them is the 1984 Macintosh launch poster known as the "cutaway" poster still in it's original frame. My understanding was that dealers each received one poster and they were not available to the general public. Seems appropriate for #MARCHintosh

The Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh was a very unique and cool looking computer released in 1997. The flat screen with front facing CD-ROM drive and the Bose subwoofer are iconic today. I am fortunate to have two boxed units. One shown here and the other remains unopened to this day. #MARCHintosh

Last #Periphebrary post because now that it's March, it's time to cross over into #Marchintosh time!

This is the MacPhone by InterMatrix that allowed your Mac to do telephone management. Included are pages from an ad found online that describes functionality. #vintagecomputer #retrocomputer

For #Periphebrary and the upcoming #Marchintosh, we have the Apple Djinn featured today. The Djinn is a specially made Geoport modem for the Macintosh line that also features #Minitel functionality with specially produced software for France Telecom. Watch for #Marchintosh at it begins next month.
