The Php50 minimum wage hike is also not as large as it seems. The latest wage hike only increases the real value of the minimum wage by Php40.

We still don’t know the full extent of the deal PBBM struck with the US. The government is being very opaque about any other concessions it might have given.

But if the grossly one-sided tariff deal is any indication, this ambiguity could very well be hiding something even worse.
