Farmers in the Western world see themselves as entrepreneurial businessmen and women and are typically big fans of capitalism. The irony is they survive almost entirely on socialist subsidy and vote for parties and policies that put their subsidy at risk. See #Brexit and #TrumpTariffs
The end of that sentry should read ‘…ignorance of uneducated rural Americans.’ Who by the way, deserves going bankrupt for that ignorance and stupidity.

Every time I pass by some ignorant farmers’ barn adorned with a HUGE Trump sign, that belief is reinforced over and over.

In 2024 the GOP spent $2,281,361 on positive ads about tariffs, this year zero spent (source - The Bulwark). I wonder what changed their minds? Maybe #TrumpTariffs are bad and not a winning message? Almost all GOP members of Congress supported #TrumpTariffs. Vote them out.

The US needs the kind of voter turn out that just took place in Brazil. Overwhelm the GOP at the polls. Vote early if possible.

Time to stop the #TrumpWar #TrumpTariffs #TrumpICEchaos #TrumpCorruption

#Trumptariffs on the country’s products, threatening everyone! At the same time, the United States canceled the visas of eight Brazilian supreme-court justices and placed unprecedented financial and travel sanctions on a powerful justice and his family. @anneapplebaum.wsocial.eu

Even without #TrumpTariffs, his deployment of his personal #ICE gestapo and willful arrests of US citizens, Canadian citizens, and illegal searches and detainments make the US a "shithole country" to visit by travelers the world over.

He is a convicted sexual offender and convicted fraudster.

But the damage is done.

The USA now has an "unreliable" reputation as a trading partner, has effectively crucified and cremated relationships with Canadian consumers, who are likely to avoid US products and brands for a generation.

Nobody wants to travel to the US, even without #TrumpTariffs.
