So my girlfriend is an amazing stop motion animator, and she recently did a medieval cat themed bumper for Adult Swim!

Sharing it here because she only has Instagram and I think everyone needs to see her animations. She's so freaking talented, y'alls. PLEASE go follow her!

Dad worked for Marconi Company after he came out of the MN (he'd been a radio officer). That's how he met my Mum in Hull. When we went to Italy, he liked spotting Marconi things: Piazza Marconi in Asti (2005) & Marconi's memorial in Sta Croce, Firenze (2014)/

This is a sewing pattern. It is also a page from a late 14th century manuscript that is one of two primary sources for an important Icelandic saga (Sturlunga saga), but that was probably not important to the 17th century person who really needed a sewing pattern.

My new article has now been published in the 2025 volume of Traditio. I use a little examined episode on the lower Rhine in the late 350s with the aid of agricultural archaeology to reveal fiscal dependency relations between the Empire & Barbaricum, & the consequences of their rupture. #medievalsky

Lady Devorgilla of Galloway founded Sweetheart Abbey South of Dumfries on 10 April 1273, as a symbol of her love for her husband John Balliol, who had died in 1268. @undisscot.bsky.social info & image turned into a reconstruction mock-up. #SweetheartAbbey #medievalsky

Am v fond of Le Procope, but cdn't get in when I was there in August – jam-packed. I was sorry they'd replaced the portraits on the Cour de Commerce side with photo prints. #Robespierre portrait was based on Boze/Versailles type; now is print of Carnavalet portrait, which I suspect is 19C.
