Ridgefield High School leaders told the board they aim to raise math proficiency from 42% to at least 50% and reduce disparity gaps, expand dual‑credit and CTE offerings, and scale RTI Scheduler and MTSS to provide earlier interventions and social‑emotional screening.

Interim Superintendent Ginger Slocum presented staff‑survey results showing mixed morale and priority concerns about math achievement; the board approved the district Unified Improvement Plan that emphasizes Tier 1 math instruction and stronger Tier 2 supports.

The board voted 7-0 to send the district’s year‑2 strategic renewal update to the state after presentations on SC Ready results, climate surveys, and graduation goals; members pressed staff on math declines after grade 3 and the district’s use of I‑Ready.
