People are amazed by the sight of SpaceX in the sky. It reminds me of the false prophet described in Revelation 13:13, who performs great signs, even making fire appear to come down from heaven in the sight of people. SpaceX creates dramatic public spectacles of fire moving between Earth and the heavens. I am not saying SpaceX fulfills this prophecy, but these displays remind me of the biblical warning that impressive signs can captivate people. A Modern Example of Spiritual Deception Over the past several years, journalists and researchers have documented how some New Age influencers, wellness communities, and QAnon supporters described Donald Trump as a "lightworker," a spiritually awakened leader, or even a prophetic figure. These claims illustrate how spiritual language can become attached to political leaders. As Christians, we are called to test every spiritual claim by Scripture (1 John 4:1). The Bible warns that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14) and that false christs and false prophets will seek to deceive many (Matthew 24:24). Scripture also warns that the coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by false signs and wonders (2 Thessalonians 2:9–10). In my view, these warnings are a reminder not to place our faith in any political figure. I believe Donald Trump is the Antichrist, a false christ, and the boastful little horn described in biblical prophecy. Others interpret these passages differently, but every Christian should examine the Scriptures carefully and place their trust in Jesus Christ alone. Now is the time of grace. Today God still calls people to repentance. Jesus Christ still forgives sinners who turn to Him in faith. But Scripture also teaches that a day of judgment is coming. Therefore, do not put your hope in a "lightworker," a movement, or a politician. Put your hope in Jesus Christ, who is the true Light of the world (John 8:12).
