What exactly is going on in the Arts in Scotland? Glasgow has it’s share of controversy & cuts now it’s Edinburgh’s turn. Art, Craft and language courses killed at the University, 100+ artists booted out of their Meadowbank studios and now Summerhall is due to get bulldozed (yes, more flats). WTF?!

Ooh my goodness, I read this today and it was was ridiculously funny and such a satisfying plot. Thank you very much to the staff at Meadowbank @falkirklibraries.bsky.social who recommended it to me, it was absolutely my cup of tea! Just right for a rainy Sunday afternoon.

You know what is fucking shit? The building where my studio (as in physical place, not Talha & Jack Co) and 100+ other art studios and charities is chucking us all out in the new year to make student accommodation. Fucking sucks. www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/st-marg...

Kicking out artists and community groups to create more student flats. As one person says here, the irony is not lost in a city that boasts about its art festivals.https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/st-margarets-house-meadowbank-eviction-notice-creative-hub-9236791?ref=edinburghminute.com

We lived for 10 years by Meadowbank Stadium and in that time 5 big PBSA developments went in (joining the huge one already at Abbeymount) while the area faces a chronic lack of affordable, family-sized housing. As a result people (ourselves included) leave the area as families outgrow small flats

Great evening last night with Daniel Gray, author of his latest book about the 80s and 90s fanzine culture. Funny night especially when we got to mention the shoplifting guide in the Meadowbank Thistle fanzine AWOL. Still chuckling. Thanks to Daniel and Stanchion Books for putting on a show. Buy it!

Woke earlier than I was happy with yesterday, so just grabbed the camera and strolled around the block in the hope of seeing something interesting.

Not much in terms of pictures, to be honest, but I can’t pretend my neighbourhood isn’t full of nice moments!

Eastwood and west Ryde in Sydney … all the nice houses; factories in Meadowbank. there was a group of girls at my all girls high school in the 80s. They kept to themselves and did not interact in class or playground with others. It was almost like they were not there

I did once, around 1991 or 1992, when Meadowbank Thistle went there on a fairly windy day and the ball wouldn't stay still on the plastic pitch for free kicks to be taken.

Second successive perfect hat trick for Hibs striker Libby Smith
HIBERNIAN Women’s number nine Libby Smith scored her second perfect hat-trick in two games at Meadowbank yesterday.  The English striker scored with her right foot, left foot and head last weekend versus Kilmarnock, and repeated the impressive feat during Hibs convincing 6-1 home victory over Montrose. Smith was pleased with the team performance but insisted more goals could have been scored.

Obviously 6-1 so who is care but the referee at Meadowbank just blew the final whistle at 89:55ish after a half that had a red card and 9 substitutions

My exhibition is currently up in Edinburgh. I'm quite excited by the mini paintings put together as one art installation & being able to explore the idea of escapism and jumping through portals to get to a better place

I met Pat Nevin at Meadowbank sports centre back in 2008-09, he was pretty sound, I asked him if he had any allegiances towards Celtic but he said no that he supports Hibs and he takes his boy to see them.
