Ooo what kind of work? I cite her and Victor in a recent medphil/medsoc paper I’m hoping to publish; if you’d be willing to read it would be super appreciated

Had a great time at #MedSoc. Definitely a theme of "Carceral Seepage" (Serrano 2026) across many of the papers (well those I attended anyway). @ellenstewart.bsky.social and my event on criminal justice healthcare was well-attended and had great discussion. Overall, very successful conference.

Remember Mike from BSA MedSoc days always kind supportive and friendly
What a great day and how lovely to hear so many memories of Mike Bury as a colleague, teacher, mentor and friend. Really enjoyed you talk, Graham. Hard to follow so many luminaries!
Pleased to be speaking at this event tomorrow to celebrate the career and contributions of Mike Bury.

D Holroyd met in 2024 at 4S/EASST Amsterdam to discuss collaborations, now across UK and Japan. This piece will be useful for researchers, students and advocates, at a time when #ADHD diagnoses are being scrutinised yet still mis-understood/-recognised by colleagues and publics #medsoc #STS #medhums

AI surveillance of physician performance isn't just an autonomy problem. When AI redefines physician work as a set of auditable outputs, it completes the reorganization of medicine into a managed industrial process. Decades in the making. #medsoc

'Burnout' doesn't earn the work it does in physician wellbeing research. When physicians are redirected away from patient care — billing, documentation — that is alienation. We are misdiagnosing the problem. #MedSoc

Medical sociology: how social factors shape health in ways biology can’t explain. Good intro from The Conversation. Med soc grad students: Keep this handy for your relatives who ask what you do (and whether you can get a job doing it) #medsoc
Illness is more than just biological – medical sociology shows how social factors get under the skin and cause disease
Medical sociology examines how social, cultural, political and economic factors shape health in ways that medicine alone cannot treat.

Many thanks to Dr Cordner for delivering an excellent talk at MedSoc today, sharing insights into her career as a dentist in the Royal Navy and her journey to running her own dental practice. A really insightful session!

Our Academic Scholars and MedSoc pupils took part in a hands-on enrichment workshop, using scientific skills and critical thinking to solve a murder mystery.

Congratulations to the Grammar and Syntax team who achieved a record score in the challenge!

Great mind, that's actually my opening joke (it's actually called something boring like Cambridge MedSoc)

I went to a few NU Medsoc evenings in those times. I know what most of those people will die of.

We discussed healthcare reform in my #MedSoc class today.

I told my students that in a different timeline, where Watergate didn't happen, the US could have achieved universal healthcare in 1974.

It always blows a few minds.
