Anxiety brain: I’m having a heart attack.

Logic brain: Chest pain is literally one of the most common symptoms of mediastinal lymphoma, which I have.

Anxiety brain: Nowhere does it say that I cannot also have a heart attack on top of that.

Epstein victim Maria Farmer has been dealing not only with 30 years of trauma from Epstein & Maxwell & repeated retraumatization from the media reports every time it comes back up, but also a brain tumor & mediastinal lymphoma. Her strength in continuing to stand up for all the victims is staggering

Good news is her white blood cell count is up to 1600 after dropping below 200 over the weekend.

Other good news: the large mediastinal mass she had a week ago? They can't find it on the imaging now.

Also all the fluid around her lungs has resorbed.
About to go see my baby, Betty. Very mixed report from the oncologist today. Most immediate thing at the moment is that she's not eating, probably bc of nausea from the chemo.

Other bad news is some sign of acute tumour lysis in her bloodwork (calcium levels), but they are addressing it.
And I guess her occasional coughing fits over the years were probably the mediastinal lymphoma, not just a weird, idiopathic cough or asthma.

If your kitty coughs or her poos aren't normal, have her checked out immediately. Is all I can say, I suppose.

I just got a billing estimate for an upcoming procedure to remove a "mediastinal cyst," and I dunno, despite the slider showing this at the low end of the cost range, $82,000 for a couple hours of surgery and a 1-night hospital stay just strikes me as... high?

What a stupid healthcare "system."

My wife turned out to have a cancer called Primary Mediastinal B-Cell Lymphoma. It’s a kind of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma that primarily affects young women, and typically forms in the area between the lungs. Because hers was found so late, it had spread to other lymph nodes in her neck. …

Usually a longer ICU stay than his absences would allow. Requires sternotomy, chest tubes, pericardial/mediastinal drains.

My immune system attacks my spine: #AnkylosingSpondylitis

My immune system got a beating this week, so now my spine has said: nope, not going to work today. The worst area is in my thoracic spine, which is currently restricted by a mediastinal mass (Graves), making is really hard to breathe.

First chest X-ray, at age 68.

Frankly I'm pleasantly surprised.

Lot of mileage on my body.

2 views of the chest acquired.

COMPARISON: None available.

**FINDINGS **:

LUNGS: Clear. No pleural effusion.

MEDIASTINUM/OTHER: Normal heart size and mediastinal contours.

Tx - avoid source of aspiration

I learned a couple weeks ago that the presumed cardiac symptoms I have been experiencing are actually due to a (now)11cmx4x3 anterior mediastinal mass, now being called a Thymoma in my chest “conforming to the contours of my heart.”
I’ll be having surgery in Victoria to remove it, and so I wait ….
