they got better phone apps for kids, dank food, hot babes, sick electric cars, megacities that make ours look like hovels. we are toilet nation, mark. the hyperloop pedophile has strangled our ability to have good shit. deal with that first you fuckin dope
I’m concerned that Americans are flocking to a number of adversary-owned social media platforms. We still need a comprehensive and risk-based approach to assessing and mitigating the risks of foreign-owned apps.

This is such a weird way to talk about most of these places, which are not small-ish cities unto themselves but wealthy, close-in suburbs of regional megacities. Alpharetta, for example, is directly north of Atlanta and made entirely out of office parks and luxury car dealerships
Thinking of saying goodbye to big-city life? In these smaller U.S. metros, job opportunities abound and a higher quality of life awaits, according to a new study. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/19/r...

100%

Part of what makes megacities so fascinating for niche interests: it's possible to make a living catering to the niche, because out of tens of millions of people you can find a couple hundred to pay you
A lot of “why isn’t there X in rural areas?” is just population density or poverty

Dhaka. They are building one of the world’s largest megacities in such a way that vast swaths of it are and will forever be immune to cars.

Xi will go only when he's absolutely certain he can actually pull it off because crossing the strait would be the most complex air, naval, and amphibious operation in history. Olympic into megacities that back directly onto jungle covered mountains

In India's bustling megacities, honking is a common form of communication among drivers. But in this case, one person's language is another person's noise pollution.
India's honk-happy drivers are switching to even louder horns

3C of global warming means many feet of sea level rise, fundamentally altering coastlines and swamping megacities home to 100s of millions. It means heatwaves that in humid regions could become, literally, unsurvivable for those outdoors without access to active cooling. [11/n]

Grim stuff. Urban adaptation is more achievable than one might think but in the fastest growing megacities it's a pipe dream.

This is what the US could have done if it hadn't spent $20 trillion blowing up children in the Middle East in the past 35 years.

Once you realise that the 2 most lucrative businesses are #war and #illness, it’s easy to understand what’s going on

i have been in three megacities, Los Angeles, New York, and Tokyo. LA was expansive. i saw the Hollywood sign, and a coyote just outside the Hotel California. New York was weird. i don't believe people actually live there. Tokyo was like an endless metropolitan fever dream.
